Description:

DCI Cheese Company is a leading supplier of high-quality, value-added specialty domestic and imported cheeses. We have seen growth as a manufacturer, marketer, converter and importer. We have an opportunity for an exceptional Merchandiser in the Cincinnati Ohio region.

The Merchandiser will be responsible for:

• Identify, present, and sell to store management, opportunities to increase store sales through substitution of slow-moving items with alternative products.
• Exceeding customer service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow up with Sales Manager and customer.
• Ability to cut, wrap and set a specialty cheese case at food store segments.
• Perform minor product resets and display installations to meet store needs and expectations.
• Partner with Sales Manager to ensure appropriate service levels for store accounts based on customer requirements.
• Ensuring Point of Sale material is properly placed on shelves and displayed in compliance with company standards. Maintain shelf space/plan.
• Identify and communicate individual store problems and opportunities to the appropriate DCI personnel. Check product rotation.
• Help to achieve territory growth targets through effective selling, customer education and merchandising
• Foster/develop business growth through customer relationships.

Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor of Business preferred or work equivalent required
• 3 - 5 years of successful retail merchandising or sales of Specialty Cheese or Specialty Food experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal and creative critical thinking capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan and prioritize multiple tasks with great accuracy, creativity and work well under pressure
• 25% Overnight travel required
• Must be able to use a personal vehicle during business hours
• Valid driver's license, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
• Ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, bend over, reach above head height, and kneel.
